It's Teen Read Week!

  • Just 'Picture It' & 'Read for the Fun of It'! We've been celebrating all month long. Teens kicked off the week with our annual Fall Fest with over 370 people in attendance! Lots of games, crafts--& a haunted room with scary stories. It was great, but cold & windy outside for those brave volunteers who worked the pie in the face throwing and pumpkin bowling.
  • Teens have been voting weekly for their favorite top ten teen books of 2011. It's a Book Bracketology. We tally the votes each week & eliminate books that don't get many votes. Vote each week & we will see what Cedar Lake's favorite book is!
  • All this week you can 'Picture It' by making a poster of a favorite book, movie, or magazine. We have quite a few great looking posters, but there's still time to make yours! Everyone who makes a poster will be entered into a drawing for a bag of goodies.

Just see Linda at the Cedar Lake Library. Then start reading and writing! You can earn volunteer time for helping!
