It's not over yet...there's still lots of fun reading--catch up with the Teen Top Ten nominations or click here to link to the library catalog & request the book you want to read. Then vote for your favorites Aug. 15-Sept.15.
And... teen events in August:
  • Tues. & Wed. Aug. 13 & 14: Cool It: Ice Cream, Slushies, Salsa, & More. Make your own ice cream & slushies. Warm up with salsa you make. Pick a summer craft to make too! Sidewalk paint & chalk ingredients will be on hand, along with rock & fossil making & socks for tie dying. If you want, bring a white t-shirt to tie dye or an old one to reconstruct. Everything else--including snacks--will be provided.
  • Wed. Aug. 28 @ 3 GameFest. Wii & PlayStation games, board games, snacks & pop

This summer teens made sidewalk paint and painted indoors and out. They made pet rocks, worry stones, and garden stones. They tie dyed t-shirts and socks and reconstructed t-shirts into pillows and other styles. They made pendants and magnets with shrinky dinks and created their own time capsules. They made their own superhero characters and created indoor cave paintings. They had movie events , gaming, & much more! Check out some of the fun:
