Summer @ the Library

Summer reading started today, June 4! Win prizes for reading! We have drawings for prizes every week and  grand prize drawings at the end of July! Put in an entry for every 100 pages you read, for every magazine, and for every audiobook. E-readers count, of course! You can enter with a paper entry or online at www.lcplin.org Click on on summer reading, 'Teens'. You can also review books for the LCPL blog. Ask @ the library. Just a sentence or two about a book is all it takes.
Think about volunteering, too. We need volunteers at the 'prize table' where we keep track of the number of books kids read and help them play the game for prizes. We also need help at programs. Just come into the library to sign up. And...if you volunteer 100 hours you will earn a library gold card--a beautiful card that means you don't have to ever again pay overdue fines. We have lots of teen gold card volunteers--because volunteering @ the library is fun!
So read, win, & volunteer this summer!!

It is nice to see where some of our taxes go and the good that they provide. You have a very enjoyable, personable(sp) library. It is a place that feels like a reading room, meeting place, resource I would have in my home if I could! Thank you!

Want to write a review?

Just see Linda at the Cedar Lake Library. Then start reading and writing! You can earn volunteer time for helping!
